Before creating , any article you,need to take care of few things:

1)section to which article should belongs

2)category underneath which article should come.

remeber, the standard steps:

make article: 1) start from section->(move to)category->(then make)article

make page:   2)make section or category or article a page.

Type of pages:Joomla provides following page layout types:

If you want to make a category blog layout page, then as the name indicate it'll include the catgory and all the article under this category will be visible on your page

IF you want to make a "article layout" page you don't need to worry about section or section ,you just need to point to that article only.

If you want to make a "section Blog layout" page, then under the section you'll select all the cateogories and article will come in your fronthend, but don't worry it won't make your site look messy, instead it'll be in a proper manner

Now choose how you wanna manage your article.

1)If you want to show many article in a page , then you should club that group of article inside a category.

2)But if you want to make two groups but both are related , than make them inside a section.

So, basically what you have is a section, inside which are sub groups, which we called categories and inside of which we have the main content i.e Articles.

This is how we manage our content in Joomla site.

Lets begin how to make a article and make it visible on the fronthend:

I'll need to make a page  to show articles which i've made.

I've divided my article in two groups so i'll need to make a two separate groups or category.

Now , since i have divided my article into two category each one containing my written articles, i need to assign these categories to a single "section" so , that i can make a "section blog layout" page, which will show my all article and categories to which these articles belongs.

First i'll need to make a section.

Go to content->section Manager

click on the "new" tab as shown in the image below:

Press on "save" button.

Now I've made a section "News". now,I need to make two categories in which i'll place my articles.

go to content->category manager->and select the "new" tab as before.

Similarly, make another catgory with title "newflash".

section: News

category:

Latest

newflash

Now i need to make article to be placed in two separate Categories "Latest" and "Newflash".

Again go to content->article manager

->select the "new" tab.

In the right you can add some meta information of the article like author, data, wanna show print icon over the article, mail icon etc.

IN metadata information,don't forget to add description and keyword,so that your  article and thereby your site become visible on google search.

Similarly, I'll make more article , will put them in "latest" or "Newflash" category, but keeping section "News" same for all.

Now , i've:

section: News

Category:Newflash categories: Latest

article:art1;article:art2;article:art3 etc               article: welcome to sarvahitay;                                                                                     article:art2,article: art3 etc

Atlast, we are ready to make this article to be append in fronthend.

Lets do it.

go to menu

and select the menu under which you want to make your page to link.

I'll select "Main Menu".

Click on  "new" button.

from the menu types click on your page you want. In my case , i'll choose "section blog layout" because i want to display my two groups of article all in a single page.

Before you click on "save" button, don't forget to see on the right side of the page.

This are important settings as it allow you to customize the page.
This is where you'll find how many article you wanna display on a page.

#Leading: number of main article to be displayed.
#Intro: number of intro article to be displayed on the page
#columns: number of columns for "intro" articles. If you select 2,then after leading article which will have one columns and one row ,the rest of the article will come in two columns and one row.You can make all the article to display in 1 colums by selecting #intro value to 1.
#Links: your page so, far will display , #leading + #intro number of article in a single page, rest article can be come in the form of a  link. You can put the number of article to be displayed as links.

Now..this all will come in the single page. Rest ,if article left ,will come in the next page .

rest parameter are self explaining.

When you done, click save button.
Now you are ready to see your page in fronthend:

this should be for intermedia user could be to technical for normal user
